John McCain in 2008 !
When presidential candidates were starting their campaign run towards the end of 2006, John McCain was just some guy in the mix. Now, as we fast forward to 2008, John McCain is the Republican candidate for president. So, what happened?!?!?
Giuliani was the national leader. But then a shift in the US occured. Terrorism was no longer the number one concern, it is now the US economy. Weak dollar, slowing job growth... recession. That got Giuliani to leave the race, which now has 4 main candidates left.
On the democratic side, you have Obama as a slight favorite. As McCain knows through his experience, it is VERY early to know who is the leader. What McCain does know : his platform has the experience necessary to get us through this important time in our country.
No one can predict the next president, but you might as well be informed of these 2 candidates!
